Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Vijay Rupani inaugurated the Khadya Khurak Exhibition-2017 at Ahmedabad in presence of health and family health care minister Shri Shankar Chaudhary and Jagannath Temple Mahant Dilipdasji Maharaj.
Rupani lauded the emphasis of exhibition on ancient Indian traditional processes of cuisines and food varieties against the onslaught of western food. He underlined the importance o Indian women making not only make tasty food but the love for family and sweetness with which it is made.
He briefed people about forthcoming Vibrant Global Summit-2017 to be held during January 9 to 13, 2017 and said that various national and international dignitaries and delegations will visit to experience our hospitality.
Rupani expressed faith in the Khadhya Khurak exhibition saying that efforts such as this will help Gujarat in taking leadership into food processing sector. This Khadya Khurak Exhibition will bring into center of focus the farmers produce, dairy products and delicious food along with hygienic nutrition making it capable for competitive market.
Being a pure vegetarian, he encouraged all for pure vegetarian food systems stalls and said that it is need of hour that youth generation adheres to vegetarian foods. He also put a thought in place of giving an impetus to food processing sector through various regulatory means.
He also launched Food of India website, an e-venture of the group to support the digital initiative of our Hon’ble PM Narendra Modi and released Khadya Khurak-2017 business directory. On this occasion, principal secretary of health department Pankaj Kumar and food & drug commissioner Hemant Koshiya were also remained present.
